I cannot move. 🙌 Just read this piece by @brooke_baldwin. 👏 A few years back, I asked Brooke if she`d blurb #beautifulwritersbook, not only b/c she was my favorite news anchor, but because I had a sense her coming memoir—one I only imagined was in the works—would be life-changing to me and millions of other women. (I feel books like that, unborn but teaming with life.)

Brooke, a true artist’s champion, did give me that thoughtful, beautiful blurb—while navigating her “unraveling.” That kind of generosity: taking many HOURS outside of your own demanding life and healing to be there for someone else’s artistic hopes & dreams (so many someone`s!), tells me even more about this woman’s mission & heart. I try to be that for artists every day & know the many challenges. 🙏 THANK YOU for your courage, your voice, Brooke. Thank you for leading with fierce love and harrowing huddles. KEEP WRITING. We need your voice more now than ever. ✍️ Love you. 💜

As a privileged white woman, if this is my experience… I can’t imagine what’s happening to Black and brown women in the workplace and beyond — women who aren’t given anywhere near the same opportunities I’ve had. Women *and* men, btw.

Also we must *name* the “thousand little cuts” that so many of us have experienced and continue to call it out. I didn’t think my story was worthy of telling. I wasn’t part of the movement that was #metoo. It took me years to realize — my story does matter. And so does yours and yours and YOURS.

I dedicate this piece to my mom… who found her voice after so many years… and teaches us it’s never too late to find our own. ❤️ 🗣️
