You want access? You’ve got it!

“The most creative ideas, it turns out, don’t occur when we’re alone. Rather, they emerge from our social circles, from collections of acquaintances who inspire novel thoughts. Sometimes the most important people in life are the people we barely know.” ~  from Imagine: How Creativity Works, by Jonah Lehrer

I recently returned from my June Carmel writing retreat, where five strangers and I bonded like sisters in a ridiculously short period of time (yep, by the first night).

I know. Weird. But it always happens. Not just because the pasta, soup, and salad on Ocean Avenue at Il Fornaio, where we feast, are delicious (although they are). But because connection is the thing we live for. If you think about it, it’s the reason you write in the first place, isn’t it?

Still, I’m amazed by how these beautiful women already have plans to travel to one another this summer to continue their newfound connections (sharing a houseboat in Sausalito, CA, sharing an office in Chagrin Falls, OH, sharing weekly time via Skype). Incredible.

I’m reminded of a quote by Napoleon Hill: “It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed.” My addition? “And, way more fun!”

Coming off the high of this uber-creative week in Carmel, I’m thinking, as I always do, about how I can bring a little more of that sense of community into my everyday work and life. About how I can make that feeling, that connection last longer, and be more available for people who can’t afford the time or financial commitment to come to the beach with me.

In spite of my busy new life as an app developer (yay!), and writing my next book (which is so time CONSUMING!), I’m aching to give more, share more, connect more. My recent 4-part YBBBP publishing tele course (that ends this Thursday, but can be downloaded anytime) was so rewarding that it’s made me want to live with this tribal writer vibe more often… not just during writing retreats.

So… I’m going to start something I’ve been thinking about for a few years now–a monthly coaching program.

An ongoing support/membership group for writers, where we gather for monthly calls–informal Q&A sessions with me + sometimes other book experts–wise folks from my publishing world. For a small monthly fee, you’ll have regular access to speak live with me about your book, proposal, blog, app, marketing approach, website, career, dog, husband (just kidding… unless you’re writing about the dog or the hubby:))…  whatever’s blocking you.

I’ll help you kick start a new project, breathe life into an old one, stay on track with what you’ve chosen to do, and keep up the momentum it takes to rock your writing career.

I’ll share insights, secrets, strategies, resources, inspiration, whatever I’ve got. All the time-tested things I’ve done to help loads of people get book deals, win awards, woo the media, start businesses, and hit the bestseller’s lists.

And, you’ll be part of a brilliant community of writers who support each other. Meaning: it won’t just be you, that blank page, and your cat any longer. You’ll have a club, a group, a posse to journey + accomplish with.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, let me know below, and I’ll be sure you get more info asap. We’ll probably launch next month. In the meantime, I’ll be thinking about how to make this the most awesome group you’ve ever been a part of.

Here’s to connection, community, and your very sacred creativity.

Yours, Linda  xo

P.S. leave me a comment and let me know what you’d like to experience from the group:)
