Hope you had a delicious Thanksgiving. We’re still in a turkey coma over here, but coming out of it FAST with two more client book deals in the works. Holy tryptophan!

Busiest fall E.V.E.R.

Thus, this week’s Pub Tip is super skinny:

Today we’re honoring one of our clients—first-time author Deborah Heneghan—for her wide-eyed determination and publishing success. She surprised us with this amazingly sweet testimonial gift in our inbox this morning—something she made in her living room with her phone! (We encourage you to see if your clients/supporters have the huevos to do the same for you, when it applies to your work.) This is a trend these days, this video stuff. Search engines like it more, apparently, than plain text. Go figure.

A little bit about Deb’s deal: Conari Publishing, is a class-act publisher, and our Deb will be published with the likes of the Dalai Lama, Neal Donald Walsh, and Wayne Dyer. Good stuff, right?! You can check out her website, and learn more about her book Closer Than You Think here…

We’re so happy for you, Deb! You never doubted your dream for a moment!

This mother of two young boys (one of which was about to pop out of the oven at one of our retreats), was daydreaming of writing while employed as an Executive at IBM. She had zero platform. No writing experience. No “connections.” And no idea what book she would even end up writing. She took a chance and joined us, one of six writers, in Breckenridge, Colorado. The rest is our shared history.

We hope Deb’s story inspires you. She wasn’t born into literary royalty, doesn’t have a degree in writing, and lives far from L.A. and NYC. But she really, really believed in her book, let it go when she’d get stressed, and trusted, trusted, trusted. Now she has an editor with nearly the same personal story—a gal who was so moved to publish her book that she wooed her from day #1, making Deb feel like the literary star she is destined to be.

Stay tuned for another exciting announcement next Tuesday! Thank you for sharing the joy with us!

Yours,

Linda
