Ever read an amazing book and think, “Never mind. I can never do that?” You think you’re not smart enough or funny enough or remarkable enough. I call these the Comparison Gremlins. These nasty buggers creep up into our brains and halt our progress, steal our dreams. They do their best to convince you that because you’re not as practiced or credentialed or even as “fortunate” as your favorite writers, you basically suck. But that’s all just crazy talk.
