It’s officially Wednesday, a little tardy for a Tuesday Pub Tip. But it was my birthday yesterday, and I have one rule in the office: NO WORK on your birthday! Taking that to the extreme, with a dreamy spa day with girlfriends, followed by dinner and a movie, I just plum forgot. Goober move, I know. But I’m about to make it up to you, BIG TIME.
Allow me to share some REALLY good news with you, courtesy of my sister, Carol Allen. Carol’s one the most sought after and respected Vedic astrologers in the country. She’s got GREAT things to say about this coming fall and winter with regard to love and your creativity. If you’ve had one heck of a summer (who hasn’t–it’s been a tough one astrologically), then it’s time to get psyched.
To paraphrase my sis: Something BIG and momentous is happening in the stars starting TODAY [Sept. 1st] that’s lasts throughout the REST of the year.
The planet considered BEST in all of astrology–Venus, “the great GOOD GUY”–is moving into one of its best signs, Libra, where it is VERY happy. When a planet is in a sign that makes it “happy,” it helps usher forth the best of what that planet is about for all of us.
And Venus is about some pretty terrific stuff… It’s the planet of the ARTS, pleasure, love, romance, fun, socializing, beauty, sex, sensuality, food, jewelry, clothing, gardening, creativity, money and luxuries of all kinds. In other words, it’s the planet of all the stuff most of us want. All the “goodies” that make life worth living, and that our very human egos desire.
Venus getting that extra OOMPH today is a very good thing, and will shower down its good mojo. But this alone is not a huge deal. Venus moves into the sign of Libra most every year, where it stays for three weeks. But THIS year, Venus will park itself in this luxurious, happy, beautiful sign for the rest of this year, and won’t move into the next sign until New Year’s Day.
What makes this an even bigger deal, however, is that the other best “good guy” planet, Jupiter, also happens to be in one of its best signs – Pisces.
Jupiter sits in Pisces only once every twelve years, which is such a big deal that my sister’s first astrology teacher planned the birth of his first child around that event so his child would have spiritual strength and wisdom. For the two “great benefits” in all of astrology to be strong and well-situated at the same time is rare and special. So rare, in fact, that it hasn’t happened since 1974. Even then it wasn’t nearly as big a deal, as it was only for a measly three weeks.
What does all this mean for you? It means that if you haven’t been getting any good lovin’ in 2010, now’s the time. It also means that it’s time to love yourself and your art with greater passion. And, the timing couldn’t be better with the fall buying season coming up–a wonderful time for putting your work out there. (Having a personal reading with an astrologer can give you more individual feedback.) It also means, by the way, that peace and harmony and good vibrations should be more abundant in general the world over. Expect the economy to be better, and general optimism to improve. After this crazy year of earthquakes, volcanoes, oil spills, and high unemployment, we’ll take it, right?!
Carol says, “Think of it like you’ve now got not one, but TWO fairy Godmothers helping you find your prince (and maybe prince of an agent), and magically transform your life from dreary to dazzling!”
Since my sis is also a relationship coach, love is her main focus. She says that if you’re single, it’s now time to mingle. And, if you’re already part of a couple, it’s now time to RAMP UP your connection.
With Jupiter being the most spiritual of the planets–bringing higher wisdom, faith, and answers from “on high”–and Venus being all about romance and pleasure, this magical combination is best for learning about SPIRITUAL love. (And, dare I say it, working on spiritually uplifting topics. And, that’s nearly any book that helps people learn and grow… just like yours!)
Sometimes we just have to get a tad mystical over here, but your tutorial is over for now. Hope you have a magical week!

Maybe I’ll start a star gazing blog (not). For now, hope you enjoyed this business break. Thought I’d play a little, seeing as how I’m still high from my bday massage.
Until next Tuesday, I’ll borrow a line from my sis: May God and his planets and stars shower you with love!
